The aftermath of illegal New Year's Eve fireworks in one south-west Sydney suburb incurred $50,000 worth of damages and produced up to five tonnes of waste, the local council has said.
They are located at Roberts Park in Greenacre, Thurina Park in Villawood and Walshaw Park in Bass Hill. The fields are so torn up that local cricket games slated to be held there this weekend had to be relocated.
