Elderly couple rushed to hospital after car smashes through barrier and onto a Sydney beach 10m below.
Emergency crews were called to Maroubra in the city’s east just after 2.30pm when a vehicle travelling along Marine Parade went through a metal fence.A female occupant, also in her 70s, was found in the back of the car and paramedics believe she could have been “somehow ejected from the front seat”.

The pair have been placed in induced comas and are in a critical condition.
