Cars have been stuck in floodwater, trees are down and roads have been closed as wild weather smashed Victoria overnight. One vehicle became stuck in water in Kensington and two more are almost underwater at the Dudley St underpass in the city after a night of heavy rain and flash-flooding.
Wild weather smashes Melbourne. All drivers and passengers are believed to have waded to safety and emergency crews are now working to remove the cars. Flooding has closed the intersection of Dudley St and Wurundjeri Way in West Melbourne in all directions and drivers have been urged to use Dynon Rd or La Trobe St. The ramp onto the Monash Fwy is blocked at Warrigal Rd and eastbound lanes are closed on Greens Rd in Dandenong.
