A Queensland teenager who caused a crash that claimed the lives of a couple expecting their first child last year has had his murder charges downgraded. 7NEWS
Matthew Field and Kate Leadbetter were walking their dogs when fatally struck by a Landcruiser.On Tuesday, the court heard those charges had been downgraded to the lesser offence of manslaughter.
Extremely graphic footage of the crash captured by CCTV cameras has been shown to the court, prompting some of the victims’ family members to leave the court when it was played.
