A shark has been pulled onto a boat at a Gold Coast beach where a surfer was fatally attacked this week.

Photo: Channel 7A photo of the tooth indicated the shark was about 45mm long and 30mm wide and most likely belonged to a 3.5m great white shark, a Department of Fisheries official told NCA NewsWire.

A 3.4m tiger shark was pulled on to a Department of Fisheries boat from a drum line off Greenmount Beach on Thursday morning, at 7.30am.
