Beijing's army announced it has wrapped up military drills around Taiwan after almost a week of live operations in response to the controversial visit from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi - the third highest ranking US official.
China has signalled an end of its military drills around Taiwan but warned troops will remain in the region to"carry out training for war preparedness".

He was repeatedly grilled by journalists after the remarks if Beijing could launch an invasion of Taipei after the drills were extended earlier this week.
