The manufacturer of a jumping castle that became airborne, killing six children, will give evidence at a criminal court hearing examining the tragedy.

school's oval when a "mini-tornado" lifted the castle and several inflatable Zorb balls into the air.Rosemary Gamble, the owner of Taz-Zorb which set up the inflatable equipment, has pleaded not guilty to one count of failing to comply with a health and safety duty.

The pegs were 10mm in diameter, not 16mm as required by Australian standards, prosecutor Madeleine Wilson told Devonport Magistrates Court yesterday. Hillcrest Primary School students Chace Harrison, Jalailah Jayne-Maree Jones, Zane Mellor, Addison Stewart, Jye Sheehan and Peter Dodt died after the incident in December 2021.
