The lawyer of Chris Dawson has confirmed his client 'will continue to assert his innocence and he’ll certainly appeal' the guilty verdict handed down in a Sydney courtroom on Tuesday.
Judge Ian Harrison SC on Tuesday afternoon found Dawson had killed his wife on or about January 8, 1982 before disposing of her body.

Earlier in the day he said he was satisfied that Lynette died on January 8, 1982 and that she did not leave her Northern Beaches home voluntarily. “Lynette Dawson had, for her entire married life, been dependent upon Mr Dawson to drive her where she needed to go,” he said.
