NSW Labor leader Chris Minns has wasted no time in lashing new Liberal deputy and Treasurer Matt Kean as the embattled Perrottet Government continues to face questions over the John Barilaro trade job.
Mr Kean was elected unopposed on Tuesday following the resignation of former deputy Stuart Ayres over the John Barilaro New York trade post scandal.

Offer ends 31 October, 2022 “He had an extra $70 billion worth of spending in June, we’re already the highest taxing government in any jurisdiction in the country and the New South Wales government’s racked up $183 billion worth of gross debt, which is the biggest figure the state’s ever seen.
But Mr Perrottet was quickly grilled over Mr Barilaro’s testimony on Monday where he said the Premier told him to “go for it” after indicating his desire to apply for the New York trade gig. The Opposition Leader hit back at the government and said it had an “obligation to be upfront” about Mr Barilaro’s appointment.“There is a real fundamental principle here and that is you can’t use taxpayer jobs and taxpayer funds for personal political benefit and you can’t offer an inducement to leave office.
The scandal erupted in mid-June when Mr Barilaro’s appointment to the plum role of NSW Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner to the Americas was announced.
