The 51-year-old, who has not been charged in Cleveland Municipal Court, was accused of assault, disorderly conduct and failure to comply with a direct order. The team plans to ban the fan.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A Rocky River man has been arrested and accused of throwing a water bottle that hit Browns owner Jimmy Haslam after the New York Jets scored on their last possession Sunday.

In a Cleveland police report filed Tuesday afternoon, officers said the Rocky River man was spotted heaving the plastic bottle on video surveillance from Section 138 of FirstEnergy Stadium. Officers alerted others throughout the complex of the man’s description. Officers said the man appeared drunk and told them that his bottle “never hit the field,” according to the report.
