The NSW bushfires are threatening Christmas tree farms and increasing the price of trees

The Green Wattle Creek fire, one kilometre from her business, was lifted to emergency level on Thursday. It had also closed her business early in the month.

Mrs Keneally said she had customers wanting to drive in and pick up the trees but the road into the farm had been blocked because of the fires. “We’ve been in fire preparation mode for the past couple of months to get us as prepared as possible, so we’ve seen no point in planting any trees," she said.
