A South Australian child sex offender has been placed on an interim detention order following multiple alleged breaches.
A South Australian child sex offender — who was recently released from prison — has been placed on an interim detention order after allegedly breaching multiple parole conditions after just six weeks back in the community.
Tipping was convicted of sexual offences against multiple underage boys, with some offending happening shortly after he was released on parole. The court was told alleged breaches related to conditions not to contact a child, not to communicate with a child, failing to declare electronic equipment and failing to declare internet user names.
"The Attorney-General's submission is that the nature of these breaches mirror past behaviour that was identified as concerning when Mr Tipping was in prison." He then sought a suppression order over the alleged breaches and said Tipping had been assaulted in jail.
