Breaking: Victoria records 74 new virus cases, with public housing residents in 'hard' lockdown
Premier Daniel Andrews has not ruled out further postcodes could be locked down, if coronavirus cases worsen in particular areas relative to their population size.
"It is not easy to have to lockdown 12 postcodes, but that is exactly what we have done because to do anything else would make it almost inevitable that we would finish up with the whole state in a lockdown," he said. "It is not the position we wanted to be in, this is a wildly infectious virus," he said."No-one will be spared the cost of a second wave," he said.Craig Butt
