Two more postcodes will be locked down, bringing the total number of postcodes subject to stay-at-home orders in Victoria to 12.
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews says nine public housing towers will be locked down for the next five days, as part of an extension to the suburban lockdowns in place in the state's coronavirus hotspots. Premier Andrews said the"hard lockdown" for the public housing towers applies"as of right now".
The figure is also the biggest jump since 28 March, when the state recorded 111 new cases in a single day.
