But there are now 23 active cases in areas outside the metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell shire lockdown zone - five in Greater Geelong, three each in Baw Baw and Greater Bendigo, two each on Bass Coast and Greater Shepparton, and one each in Campaspe, East Gippsland, Macedon Ranges, Moorabool, South Gippsland, Surf Coast, Swan Hill and Warrnambool.
Queensland Health has said that any Queenslanders who visited the Crossroads Hotel in the south-western Sydney suburb of Casula from July 3 to July 10 inclusive should isolate and get tested immediately. The trial will see 120 people, selected from 4000 volunteers, given two doses of the vaccine four weeks apart.
The Palaszczuk Government announced $10 million in March to develop the vaccine with an aim to make it available as early as early 2021.
