Fans demanded 'free the Weatherfield one' and expect Roy will encounter a familiar face in prison
Coronation Street fans are convinced a familiar face could make a surprise return after Roy Cropper jailed.
Monday's edition of the long-running soap continued to explore the fallout after Lauren Bolton disappeared from Weatherfield. Roy unknowingly implicated himself when he cleaned Lauren's flat after she has vanished. Bobby Crawford was suspicious of Roy's motives and alerted the police to his concerns. DS Swain has since found an abundance of evidence that made Roy a possible suspect and he was since taken to custody.However, fans were shocked in tonight's episode when Roy was denied bail meaning he is set to spend time in prison.
Viewers following the show on X think Roy will be put in a cell with Damon Hay, who has recently been jailed, or his brother, Harvey Gaskell. However, the development would come as a surprise as their storylines appear to have come to an end.
