Sky News host Rita Panahi says as Vicitoria moves through its second wave outbreak people are “justifying the unjustifiable” and allowing the implementation of coronavirus restrictions and strategies which are cruel and inhumane. “People have suspended their judgement and they’ve got this blind adherence to authority no matter the cost”.

The public response when the story came out lacked compassion and focused on the importance of following the rules, Ms Panahi said. “How can they not put themselves in the shoes of these desperate parents?” Image: AP
