New South Wales Health’s Dr Jeremy McAnulty says there have been COVID-19 outbreaks in two aged care facilities and one disability home after the state recorded 124 new COVID-19 cases.
Dr McAnulty said the facilities include The Palms Aged Care facility in Kirrawee, where an unvaccinated staff member tested positive, and the Japara Corymbia facility in Belrose where two staff members tested positive.He said there have also been five people at Unisson Disability group home in Parklea who have tested positive, including three residents and two staff members.
“Public Health Unit has been investigating, making sure the other people are tested and isolated and cared for,” he said.
