Tyson Huston's home is surrounded by paddocks in regional Victoria but he and his family are still covered by the lockdown restrictions. It means both of his boys have to sit out of their local footy competitions for the time being.

"We've got regional post, V/Line, cows for neighbours, friends ride their horses into town, ponies get ridden on the side of the road," Mr Huston said. His 13-year-old son Jaxon has an exemption to go to Drouin High School even though it's in regional Victoria. Both boys play in the local junior football league but have to sit out while the current restrictions are in place.
