The Australian captain says he was angry after he was forced to miss the second test due to being a close contact of a COVID-19 case, but admits there is no-one to blame for his misfortune.

He said teammates Nathan Lyon and Mitch Starc were meant to be dining with him, but gave up on waiting for him to arrive Cummins had gone out to dinner at a steak restaurant in Adelaide with a friend the night before and a patron at the next table was identified as a positive case. Cummins is back with the team and spoke about his saga on Christmas Day, on the eve of the Boxing Day Ashes Test."There was no-one to blame.Cummins left the restaurant as soon as he learnt about the positive case and initially thought that a negative test for him would be the end of it."We knew it might pop at some stage in this series. I didn't think — or hope — it was going to be me," he said.
