Rhydian Guzvic said his son was initially knocked unconscious by the blast and suffered injuries to his face.
A dad has spoken of his horror after his young son was left seriously injured by a 'firework explosion' when he was out playing with a friend. Devastated Rhydian Guzvic heard eight-year-old Bradley had been injured and immediately 'thought the worst'.
Rhydian said emergency services were called after neighbours heard Bradley screaming and jumped over the fence to help the two boys. Describing how he became aware of the incident, the 41-year-old said: "I found out it happened when I had a phone call from his mum, who was in a state and saying he was injured and had been in an accident.
"Bradley is still in hospital but should be getting discharged today . They are stitching up all they can - he has stitches along the bridge of his nose from eye to eye. He has picked up an infection so he will be coming home on antibiotics."
