The Victorian Premier has finally deleted his TikTok a week after federal Labor announced the Chinese-owned app would be banned from government devices.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese issued the ban earlier this month following almost a year of lobbying from several government senators to make the move.
The Victorian Premier, who boasted 1.6 million likes and almost 110,000 followers on the platform, copped criticism for not having deleted his TikTok despite pledging to do so last week.A quick Google search shows Mr Andrews’ official TikTok account at the top of the search results, but when clicked on users are told the account couldn’t be found.
The Victorian Liberal Party are also yet to delete their TikTok account, which hasn’t been utilised since November last year.
