Jason Day and Marc Leishman have extended their lead for Team Australia at this week's Greg Norman-hosted shootout and are in the box seat for a $1.2 million pay day

Jason Day and Marc Leishman extended their lead in the Greg Norman-hosted QBE Shootout event on Sunday, courtesy of Leishman holing out for an eagle for the second straight day.

First played in 1989 and previously known as the “Shark Shootout”, the Norman-hosted QBE Shootout is the longest-running event in the PGA Tour’s post-season calendar. Day and Leishman lead a field containing four of the world’s top 25 players - Sam Burns , Harris English , Jason Kokrak and Billy Horschel - and Bubba Watson is paired with the world’s no.12 female golfer, Lexi Thompson.Also in the field are defending champions Harris English and Matt Kuchar.
