Former US Naval Intelligence Officer John Jordan says Trump’s impeachment trial in the Senate will be “good for him” because he will have a platform for his rebuttal and the Democrats “won’t be able to control it”.
Mr Jordan told Sky News the Democrats have “hit the high water mark with their messaging and their ability to control the media narrative”.
“Now its going to shift into the hands of the vulnerable Democrats and the Republicans in the Senate,” he said on Friday. Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the House of Representatives would push ahead with plans to impeach President Donald Trump. Image: AP
