Gov. RonDeSantis won't join Donald Trump's 2024 ticket if he were to lose his own presidential campaign, DeSantis said on Tuesday. 'I don’t think I’m a No. 2 guy. I think I’m a leader, governor of Florida. I’ve accomplished a lot,' DeSantis said.

I’ve accomplished a lot," DeSantis said on the Wisconsin Right Now podcast."I think I could do more staying there than being VP, which doesn’t really have any authority.”Trump and DeSantis are the top two GOP 2024 candidates, according to national polling. A RealClearPolitics average showed Trump at 53% of Republican primary voter support and DeSantis at 21%.
On the podcast, DeSantis claimed he would finish Trump's border wall on"day one" of his administration. DeSantis also attacked Trump over his handling of COVID-19 because of Dr. Fauci's enhanced role during the pandemic.
