Another frightening experience has occurred on an international flight after a plane was forced to endure extreme turbulence, with at least 12 people injured as a result.

Six passengers and six crew members were injured in the incident with emergency services including airport police and fire and rescue teams responding at Dublin Airport when the plane landed about 1pm on Sunday local time. "Qatar Airways can confirm that flight QR017 a Boeing B787-9 from Doha to Dublin has landed safely," Qatar Airways posted to X in a statement.
Dublin Airport said the return flight to Doha - flight QR018 was scheduled to operate as normal on Sunday with a delay. "The plane fell. The poor flight attendant went into the air. Food went everywhere. And then obviously it was seatbelts on. There was panic, the look of panic everywhere," she said.
