The driver fled the scene but was found by police
A driver has been arrested for drink driving following a crash with two HGVs in the early hours of this morning .
Lancashire Road Police said that the driver had attempted to overtake one HGV on Eastway, Preston, but failed to see a second coming from the other direction. The driver fled from the scene but was found by officers close to the scene still in the drivers seat of the Peugeot.Lancs Road Police shared the images over Twitter. They said: "Driver of this Peugeot in Preston tried to overtake a HGV on Eastway. They didn't see another HGV coming the other way.
"Driver failed to stop but was found nearby still in the driver's seat. Driver arrested for drink driving which might explain the crash." Lancs Road Police provided the following update an hour later. They said: "Following the RTC on Eastway with the drink driver and x2 HGV's the road is still closed to aid recovery and clean up.READ NEXT:
