Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has hit out at Treasurer Jim Chalmers over the Albanese government’s claims about the costs of developing nuclear power in Australia.
Mr Chalmers said on Tuesday nuclear was “the most expensive form of energy” and claimed the opposition’s energy proposal would cost Australia $4 trillion in lost growth by 2020. But the Albanese government has sought to dismiss the assumptions underpinning the modelling and undermine the credibility of the report.
