Penrith fullback Dylan Edwards has been left out of the Kangaroos squad set to be named in Sydney on Tuesday.
The Kangaroos have also decided to pick Canterbury winger Josh Addo-Carr in the squad despite being involved in a brawl at the Koori knockout over the weekend.The premiership-winning Panthers have three players primed for selection in Mal Meninga’s squad for the Pacific Championships against Samoa and New Zealand this month.
A source with knowledge of the situation, speaking on the condition of anonymity given the official squad will be named at a press conference in Sydney on Tuesday, said the selectors mulled over Edwards’ selection but decided against including him in the squad due to a lack of versatility.in the Panthers’ grand final victory, will be the side’s halfback.
