AFL: Carlton will be sweating on the fitness of star midfielder Sam Walsh, after the vice captain suffered a 4-week hamstring injury during pre-season.
West Coast Eagles forward Liam Ryan is under investigation following an alleged physical altercation caught on video, with the club on Friday announcing it has involved the AFL Integrity Unit.
“The Club is working to gather all the information, will support Liam throughout this process and will make no further comment at this time.” The incident is the second for the Eagles in the off-season after Reuben Ginbey was arrested and charged by WA police after he was allegedly caught urinating in public, also at a music festival.
