Stevie revealed the real reason he came to Walford Stevie Mitchell recently arrived in Walford hoping to reunite with his family, and recent EastEnders scenes saw him finally admit his real reason for coming. Despite his relationship with son Billy Mitchell being fractured almost beyond repair, Stevie was keen for them to try again, though Billy wasn’t receptive to the idea.
He explained how he had been on his own for many years, but he had been okay with that because he had his friends around. Billy demanded to know why his dad was really there However, he tragically revealed how he had reached an age where he was attending a friend’s funeral almost every week, and he was worried that he would have no one left to mourn him.
