“I thank Elizabeth Farrelly for her longstanding contribution to theis determined to extend its coverage of urban design and architecture, and this will include new voices in our opinion pages in 2022.

Farrelly announced her departure from the masthead in a long post late on Sunday on Facebook. She apologised to any readers that were misled and arguing her lack of transparency was an “oversight”. Farrelly said in the post that she joined the ALP in the middle of the year after being encouraged to get involved at a grassroots level. She said she registered her interest to keep her options on, but admitted she campaigned for Labor on election day.
