ITV Emmerdale actress Laura Norton has responded to negative comments about her character Kerry Wyatt’s return to the Yorkshire village. Earlier this week, Kerry made her shock return after leaving the village over a year ago. She landed a new job on a cruise ship after finding out that her late fiancé Al Chapman was having an affair with Chas Dingle. During her return viewers saw Kerry dressed up as Cher when she got dropped off by PC Swirling. Kerry explained that she was falsely accused of stealing by her fiancé.

After her dramatic entrance, it didn’t take long for Kerry to confront Charity and Mack over their love triangle with her daughter Chloe Harris. She also hit out at Charity for killing her ex Damon 'Harry' Harris - who is Chloe's father. Since then Laura took to Instagram and gave viewers a behind the scenes clip of how she got into her Cher costume.
