Emmerdale fans have called out shocking homophobic behaviour during an episode celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.
Arriving at the hall, Cllr Hamston didn’t shake hands with Ethan Anderson - who is gay. After the snub, Ethan turned to his father, vicar Charles Anderson, and said: “I can’t believe there’s still people like that.”Before leaving in a huff, Cllr Hamston said: “I’ve seen all I need to see.” He later called Arthur Thomas, who came out last year, a ‘disgusting little pervert.”
Another viewer @rogernook said: “That homophobic man is horrible #emmerdale.” We saw @MattZeeMiller post: “Someone throw this horrible bigoted mess of a man out of the village for good.” Another viewer @JessiTRex said the character should be removed from the soap. They said: “#Emmerdale you seriously need to get rid of Colin he's making me so angry every time I watch. While @Jamie27A_ said: “Go away Colin #emmerdale.”
