🔴 The RMT said its members across 14 rail operators would walk out on 1 and 3 February, following an announcement by Aslef that thousands of its members would strike on the same days
Meanwhile 100,000 civil servants belonging to the PCS union will also go on strike on 1 February, which will have an impact on Government departments, driving test centres, museums, ports and airports.for 6 and 7 February, as they prepare to walk out on Wednesday and Thursday this week, following the two strike days before Christmas.
Mick Lynch, general secretary of the RMT, said: “Our negotiations will continue with the rail operators to create a package on jobs, conditions and pay that can be offered to our members.” The 14 train operators that will be affected are: Chiltern Railways, Cross Country Trains, Greater Anglia, LNER, East Midlands Railway, c2c, Great Western Railway, Northern Trains, South Eastern, South Western Railway, Transpennine Express, Avanti West Coast, West Midlands Trains and GTR .
