Scotland's got a word for that awkward moment when you forget someone's name.

According to the Urban Dictionary, it's the feeling that medieval peasants had when the castle gates were closing ahead of an attack by enemies. So, a feeling most modern people would know well. It's often used in relation to a life goal or opportunity, and it's not a joyous feeling.
