Toffees avoid relegation thanks to Leicester and Leeds' ineptitude 🚨 Here's danielstorey85's Everton season review - what went well, what went badly, player of the season and managers EFC
Like Leeds, counter-intuitively Everton made things worse by winning a game. The 3-0 home victory over Crystal Palace bought Lampard time and then he took two points from his next eight games before finally losing his job. The crucial difference is that their win and subsequent dip came a little earlier, allowing them to get Dyche in and eventually do just enough.
Finally, until the final two months of the season Everton were wretched at coming from behind. Between 1 October and 15 March, Everton trailed in 13 Premier League games and lost 12 of them.
