Justice James Wood said granting hm parole now is "the only way he can have a supervised and smooth transition back into the community". He was the Aboriginal Affairs Minister when he was arrested in 2006 and was later convicted of 30 offences related to the supply of cannabis and heroin as well as the sexual and indecent assault of three male victims.In February this year he took an opioid used to treat pain because of a low mood.Last month it was revealed Orkopoulos had failed drug tests in custody.
