, a showcase for Japanese food and culture, was to be held at north Houston's Lucky Land. Instead, it had to move to the Texas Festival Grounds on the opposite side of the city.Lucky Land is a three-acre Chinese cultural theme park in the 8600 block of Airline Drive. Nida Lee, co-owner of Sunny Flea Market nearby,. The park is a showcase for Chinese architecture and culture with sculptures, dances and classes.
Prior to opening, Lee had purchased rows of terra-cotta soldier replicas from a now-closed outdoor museum in Katy. Those are now on display at Lucky Land.on social media, Lucky Land was forced to close after an investigation by the Harris County Fire Marshal. Unfortunately, it was too late to remedy the issues in time for the festival.With just two weeks to go, organizers were somehow able to secure Texas Festival Grounds some 27 miles away in the opposite direction.
