Liberal leader says Coalition made ‘huge investments’ in renewables when in power and blames states for locking up gas reserves

Dutton said that while he supported more renewables being brought into the electricity market, he also maintained that coal and gas would continue to be part of the energy mix. Dutton also suggested that there was a “sense of panic” on display from the new energy minister, Chris Bowen, while defending the Coalition’s management of the national energy market when it was in government.
