A short video, exclusively obtained by the ABC, purports to show someone in possession of stolen defence force rocket launchers for the first time in 10 years.
Several high-powered military grade rocket launcher s, stolen from a military base, have never been recovered and have remained at large for decades.
The unrecovered M72 portable anti-tank weapons, previously used by the Australian Defence Force, disappeared from a Queensland military base between 2002 and 2003.Evidence of legal negotiations and exclusive vision obtained by the ABC reveal that an organised crime figure has attempted to negotiate a trade facilitating the weapons' return in exchange for a trade with law enforcement authorities.
NSW Police are investigating how explosives used to blast underground tunnels and quarries were found in a caravan parked in a quiet residential Sydney suburb. The tan-coloured cylinders are moved back and fourth, demonstrating the style of weapon and its legitimacy. The explosives were found alongside a document with antisemitic sentiments and a list of targets, but no detonator, police allege.
