In another video posted a day prior, Pam filmed part of their road trip, showing the view from the front passenger seat as they drove across a flooded road as her children’s excited squeals are heard in the background.NSW Police Chief Inspector David Maher told 7NEWS: “They’ve attempted to cross a flooded creek bed and the fast flowing has pushed the vehicle from the roadway into the creek bed itself.
“Whilst they were waiting for emergency services to attend they heard the two adults from the first vehicle screaming for help,” Maher said. They attempted to enter the water to assist the family but were forced to wait for emergency services because of the fast-flowing nature of the river. A boat was used to rescue them and an overnight search commenced for the child.
“They were very distraught ... they were taken to Dubbo last night in a state of shock,” Maher said of the Sydney family, who also own a property in Tullamore.“We do have a lot of young families, a lot of the officers in the area, and it does have an impact but resources will be put in place to make sure that their welfare is catered for.”
