Dozens of people are evacuated from their homes after firefighters respond to a blaze in Nunawading overnight.
Firefighters also battled a fire that spread across the West Gate Freeway last night.About 30 people have been evacuated from their homes in Melbourne's east after a suspicious fire broke out in a nearby building overnight.
Fire Rescue Victoria said a two-storey building on Whitehorse Road in Nunawading was found engulfed in smoke after 2am this morning.Police are also investigating a grass fire that spread to a building in Port Melbourne that was reported shortly before 9pm on Saturday.The grass and scrub fire spread along the West Gate Freeway at the Todd Road Exit ramp and damaged a storage facility, Fire Rescue Victoria commander John Dakis said.
