Katherine Bennell-Pegg is set to be the first Australian woman trained as an astronaut by an international space agency and reveals how the opportunity has been a life “dream” of hers.
“I hope during the training that I demonstrate that there is so much value in human space flight” for scientific research and development, Ms Bennell-Pegg told Sky News Australia.
“While I’m the first Australian to be trained under the Australian flag, I certainly won’t be the last and I’ll do my best to prove that value so that more can follow.”
