Hardwick call could turn maligned club’s ‘Tigers-like infancy’ into shock premiership reality
The three-time premiership coach will inherit a list set to be bolstered by a suite of Academy prospects at this year’s draft.
“I think you’re just seeing now with the new interim coach Steven King their elevated handball work and their pressure, one feeding into the other,” he said on Fox Footy’s The First Crack. King’s assessment was guided by the emerging and established stars already on the side’s list, headlined by Matt Rowell and Noah Anderson, as well as the recent shift in output.
“Their press has gone from a really subpar 13 up to eighth since round 17 and their handballs have gone up about 20-odd.Hardwick’s arrival could turn the Suns into a “destination club”, with King urging the side to purse “one or two marquee free agents over the next 12-to-18 months” to finish off the build, with a list that “want for nothing”
