Flights in and out of Bali are resuming today after volcanic eruptions clouded parts of Indonesia with dangerous ash clouds and forced Australian airlines to cancel trips.
"We will continue to contact guests whose flights have been cancelled to accommodate them on recovery flights in the coming days," a Virgin Australia spokesperson said.will depart for Bali today — four of those are scheduled flights, the other two are what a spokesperson called "ad-hoc flights".will head to Bali from Australia today — that includes two of the delayed flights from Sydney and Melbourne yesterday as well as the one scheduled from Sydney today.
The Qantas Group says it'll operate three flights out of Bali — two of them departing Denpasar tonight and one tomorrow morning.We will continue to monitor the changing conditions and volcanic activity and work on plans to operate more recovery flights using aircraft from across the Group so that we can get customers on their way as quickly as possible.We appreciate the changing situation is frustratingThis is an evolving situation, and we recommend customers to check their flight status at Jetstar.com and Qantas.com before coming to the airport.But there had been more than a week of volcanic activity — which meant a lot of dangerous ash spewing into the air.
