Kieran Foran will return to the Northern Beaches after accepting a one-year deal from Manly, with an option to stay for a second season | sarah_keoghan

The Knights and Sea Eagles were eager to sign Foran after the Bulldogs decided not to offer the star playmaker a contract for next year. Foran's $1.2 million a year contract with the Bulldogs ended this year, with the No.6 rejecting a one-year offer to stay with the club on $300,000-$400,000.

The Kiwi international played 147 matches for the Sea Eagles between 2009 and 2015 before signing with the Eels in 2016.The decision will cause headaches for coach Des Hasler, with young gun Josh Schuster indicating he would walk from the club if Foran takes the No.6 jumper. Current Manly hooker Danny Levi has been told by the club he would not be re-signed.

Foran's biggest challenge will be keeping his body fit, having made just 40 appearances across three years with the Bulldogs.
