EXCLUSIVE Former AFL star Jack Steven is facing charges after crashing his car and then allegedly fleeing in Victoria’s surf coast. 7NEWS understands Steven was driving alone just outside Lorne around 5pm on Tuesday when he lost control of his ute and slammed into an embankment.

Jack Steven facing police charges. Police told 7NEWS the 34-year-old then fled the scene and ran to a house. “It’s believed to be the home he shares with his parents,” Channel 7 reporter Paul Dowsley said. “They are set to charge him with refusing a preliminary oral fluid test and other traffic offences.” That saliva test is used to detect whether there are illicit drugs in the system.
