Former North Melbourne AFL star Kerry Good has spoken publicly for the first time about the murder of his daughter in the Westfield Bondi Junction massacre. Ashley Good was one of six people who tragically lost their lives during Joel Cauchi’s terrifying shopping centre knife rampage. Ms Good, 38, who was in the busy shopping centre with her nine-month-old daughter Harriet, was fatally wounded while attempting to protect her baby from Cauchi’s first attack.
Mr Flanagan made it to St Vincent’s in Darlinghurst before Ms Good succumbed to her injuries. After her devastating death, he was taken by police to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Randwick to be with his daughter, who had her grandmother by her side until his arrival. Little Harriet is understood to have made a miraculous recovery following a lengthy stay in hospital. Mr Flanagan revealed the heartwarming update in August on a GoFundMe page that had been set up following Ms Good’s death.
