Lawyers for a former horse trainer accused of stabbing two people during an altercation in Ascot Vale say he needs urgent medical attention after being involved in a car crash.
“Mr Hughes has some significant health issues, which need ... fairly immediate attention,” Brand said. Police arrested Hughes, 56, on Tuesday afternoon after he crashed his car into a tree in Kensington while allegedly fleeing from them on Kensington Road about 2pm.The arrest came almost 24 hours after he was allegedly involved in an altercation with two people outside a property on Churchill Avenue, in Ascot Vale, about 6pm on Monday.
